For the majority of our Whipped Tallow Balms, the blends of essential oils giving our scent profiles are what differ. The ingredients are all the same across the board. Some products (like MANUKA HONEY blend) contain added ingredients that provide some additional beneficial purpose & are labeled as such.

Yes, all of our products are formulated with gentle, non-irritating ingredients and are safe for sensitive skin. Tallow itself is Anti- Inflammatory, Non- Comedogenic (Meaning it will NOT clog pores), and contains Vitamins & Minerals that nourish skin. Additionally, we use a very low percentage of essential oils, below 1% (.25-.50 %, specifically) which makes our Tallow both appropriate for sensitive users & lightly scented for those with scent sensitivities as well.

Yes! We created our products with people like you in mind. We, ourselves are scent- sensitive people. Our products are meant to be pleasant, but not overwhelming. Our essential oils values are very low, measuring between .25-.50 % which makes our products lightly scented.

Yes! Our Tallow Balm is all-natural, chemical-free, preservative-free, hypoallergenic & free of dyes. The most common uses for babies are:

• Lotion & Moisturizing
• Cradle Cap 
• Eczema & Heat Rash Breakouts
• Diaper Cream

Our Tallow is both triple purified & triple filtered to 400 microns to ensure that it is extremely pure. 

Our finished Tallow Balm contains no water. This provides a shelf stable product that can last years in normal household temperature conditions & allows us to be preservative-free! 🙌Additionally, we add Jojoba Oil, which naturally prevents rancidity, extending the shelf life even further. 

Tallow rendered in the method we use has been known to be shelf stable for many years. Storage is key. Keep your Tallow products in regular temperatures away from direct sunlight or extreme heat (just like other health & beauty products). There is no need whatsoever to refrigerate or freeze the Tallow Balms unless you are in a temperature extreme environment (above 85 degrees) & this is merely to prevent it from melting. We recommend a shelf life of 1 year OPENED & 2 years UNOPENED for our Tallow Balms. Not because they will expire or go bad at that time, but because the essential oils contained within will lose their potency.

But if by chance you left your Tallow somewhere hot (like a car🥵) & it melts, it can be left in a cool environment until it stiffens again & you can still safely use it. It will thicken quite hard & lose its nice fluffy whipped texture, but is still safe to use.  

No, it has not gone bad & your Tallow is completely safe to use. 

Because our Tallow is a hand-made product & not produced commercially, there can be variations in texture. Small lumps are not uncommon. They are formed naturally when the Tallow is cooling, as different fatty acids cool at different rates & join together forming fine clusters. When the product is applied & comes into contact with the warmth of skin, it melts very quickly & blends right in. 

For the MANUKA HONEY blend specifically, there can be a very fine exfoliating texture due to the dehydrated honey powder contained within. It also blends into the warmth of skin when applied.
